(Spanish Edition) (Paperback)

Democracy has many faces. We usually think that our US system is the most
democratic, but sometimes unusual new approaches can be even more democratic.
The case of Evo Morales in Bolivia sheds light on democratization, and how
racially-divided countries can try to establish true democracies after hundreds of
years of inequality. In this book, von Vacano shows the "Evo Experiment" and what
we can learn from it, not just in Latin America. We can also learn about how to have
a more democratic society in the US and other countries with high social inequality
as well as long histories of racial divisions.
